I am passionate about Oregonians having access to the best possible health care, which has led me to serve on the board of the Oregon Association of Naturopathic Physicians (OANP) since 2002. Starting as the Treasurer and working my way to President of the board, I continue my work with the OANP on the legislative committee. In the 2009 legislative session we worked with legislators to give a primary care formulary to naturopathic physicians, improving the care you receive from your ND. For more information on the OANP, you can go to the following link: http://www.oanp.org/ My volunteering effort combines my love of the outdoors with the opportunity to serve underprivileged girls in Oregon. Since 2004 I have been on the board of Betties360, a local not-for-profit organization with the mission of inspiring girls and women through adventure sports and outdoor activities. We rock climb, windsurf, backpack, mountain bike, and while building confidence and learning life skills – it’s a blast! You can find out more about us and our activities at http://www.betties360.org/ I studied at Tufts University and Bastyr University, and graduated from the National College of Naturopathic Medicine. Since 2001 I have been a licensed naturopathic physician in the state of Oregon. I have been practicing craniosacral therapy since 1998. When I am not seeing patients and engaged in volunteer efforts, I balance my time being outside with friends and family. I am an avid cyclist and backpacker. Thanks to my bike-building partner, Peter, you may see me around town on my pink commuter. |
